Requirements Delivery

With the LabOne Express Exam Product, insurance companies receive Part II exam forms and/or application forms, consent forms, copies of the ID ticket, and any additioanl necessary paperwork all at once. Express Exams begins by the examiner placing the paperwork into a plastic pouch with the blood and urine specimens and sending it overnight to the laboratory. LabOne receives the paperwork and forwards it to the insurance company in the following ways:

Data Capture
Through our Data Capture Product, LabOne enters data from Part I and II exam forms and electronically transmits this information to the client. With compatible software, systems can “read” and evaluate this data. This process allows the system to automatically approve applicants who meet insurance companies’ specifications, saving valuable processing time.

Imaging
Through imaging, LabOne images the received paperwork. LabOne scans the forms (checking and assuring the image quality), and captures appropriate index information (normally name, date of birth and social security number). The imaged forms are then electronically transmitted to the client.

With LabOne Express Exams, insurance companies are able to decrease policy issue time, reduce costs associated with handling paperwork and increase the efficiency of requirements gathering.
